CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE.
Passengers, their vehicles and luggage are carried according to:
- The Athens Convention 1974 for the carriage by sea of passengers and their baggage.
- The Greek Private Maritime Code.
- ENDEAVOR LINES General Conditions of Carriage, a copy of which is available on request.
The terms and conditions include exceptions and limitations to the
Carrier's liability in case of sickness, accident or death of
passengers, damage to or loss of vehicles or luggage and delays or
deviation of the vessel. In particular, the Athens Convention 1974
includes limits to the Carrier's liability with respect to loss of or
damage to luggage or accompanied vehicles. According to the
International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) the
following information must be provided by each passenger at the time of
reservation: Surname, Name or Initial, Sex, Age or Date of Birth or Age
Group (Adult, Child, etc.). Vehicle type and registration must also be
provided. Non-EU nationals must also provide passport number, expiry
date and EU visa expiry date.
EMBARKATION REQUIREMENTS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Passengers must be in possession of valid travel documents with visas
as required by Italy and Greece, as well as the necessary documentation
for their vehicles. The Company accepts no liability if passengers are
refused embarkation or disembarkation in either country and will
require payment in full for return transportation, if disembarkation is
refused. Cancellation due to lack of valid travel documents is not
considered "force majeure ". Any fines imposed by the Authorities as a
result are the sole responsibility of the passenger. In addition, valid
proof entitling passengers to reductions must be produced on
embarkation, otherwise the Company's representatives will refuse to
accept passengers and/or their vehicles unless the difference due is
paid.
TARIFFS - TICKETS
Passenger and vehicle
tariffs are always expressed in Euro. Meals, beverages, embarkation and
disembarkation fees are not included in the ticket tariffs. The ticket
is strictly personal. It is not transferable and is valid only for the
specific accommodation and route it has been issued for. Any change
must be reported to the issuing agent, the central reservation office
or the port office of departure.
CHILDREN
Children up to 4 years old, travel free of charge (one per family) and
are issued tickets for YY/ZYY1 (passage on Deck) accommodation.
Additional children under 4 years old in the same family, are entitled
to a 50% discount on the accommodation reserved. Children under 12
years old, are entitled to a 50% discount on the reserved
accommodation. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
DISCOUNTS
- A reduction is granted on the return portion of round trip
passenger tickets. The resulting reduced tariffs are shown in the
tariff columns marked "RET. " (return). The round trip discount applies
provided that both the outward and return tickets are purchased at the
same time.
- Interail / Eurail: card holders are entitled to a special discount on presentation of a valid card.
- Youth:
Young persons under 26 years old are entitled to a 20% discount on the
published tariffs for SS1/ZSS1 (seats) and YY1/ZYY1 (passage on deck)
categories.
- Senior: People over 60 years old are entitled to a 10% discount in all categories (except LS2) accommodation.
- Special Offers:
for Families and Parties are available in cabin and deck categories.
The number of such cabins, deck and vehicle space is limited and may
vary according to the departure and season.
REDUCTIONS ARE NOT CUMULATIVE AND CANNOT BE APPLIED RETROACTIVELY.
CAMPING ON BOARD
"Camping on board " is
available from 1st April until 31st October. "Camping on board"
passengers are welcome to use all public areas of the ship. The supply
of electricity for caravans and mobile homes, and the use of WC and
showers is free of charge. "Camping on Board" is a service governed by
the regulations of the local Maritime Authorities.
For Safety reasons the use of propane gas or other combustibles for
cooking or heating is strictly forbidden throughout the time that
mobile homes or caravans are on board the vessel.
PUBLIC AREAS
Passengers are entitled to use
all public areas but cannot sleep or eat there unless the particular
space is designated for that purpose.
PETS
There are specially allocated spaces where such animals are carried
free of charge. Animals are not allowed in the cafeteria, bars, cabins
and all the internal public spaces of the vessel. Pet owners must have
a valid pet passport, updated with vaccines and repeats. Animals moving
outside the specially designated areas must be accompanied, on a leash
and wear a muzzle. Microchip, anti-rabies inoculation, worm treatment
are required for pets travelling abroad.
BAGGAGE & PERSONAL ITEMS
All baggage is
transported at owner's risk. Valuables or money may be deposited at the
Purser's Office for safe keeping. The Company accepts no liability for
baggage, valuables or money left in cabins or in public spaces on
board.
"OPEN DATE" TICKETS
Passengers with "open date
" tickets should confirm their reservations well in advance especially
during high season (summer). Open date tickets are valid for one year
from the date of issue. For such tickets the fare is calculated on the
basis of "Low Season Return", passengers being obliged to pay any
difference in case they travel during "Mid" or "High" season or when
changing their accommodation.
TICKET LOSS
In the event of ticket loss, the
passenger must immediately notify the company's Head Office with
details of the ticket in question, or at least the name and address of
the issuing office, the name(s) of the passenger(s) recorded on the
ticket, and the date of purchase. Refund of the lost ticket will be
made at the of the year and only if found not utilized and only if the
holder has bought another ticket in order to replace the lost one.
CANCELLATION FEES AND REFUNDS.
Passengers canceling their reservations are liable to the cancellations fees as follows:
From the date of issue up to 30 prior to departure: No cancellation fees
From 29 up to 7 days prior to departure: 25%
From 6 days up to the day before departure: 50%
On the day of departure or failure to travel (no show): 100%
Refunds:
Are made only by the issuing travel agent or port agent on condition
that the date of cancellation is confirmed on the ticket with the stamp
and signature of the responsible office (issuing travel agency or port
office).
RESERVATIONS & SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
Reservations can be made through all Travel Agents, the Company's Head Office, the Company's General Sales and Port Agents.
Groups, trucks, trailers and unaccompanied vehicles are subject to
special tariffs. For details apply to the Company's Head Office or
agents.
PASSENGERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Passengers with
special needs should notify the port agent and the ship's Purser at the
time of embarkation. Specially equipped cabins are available on board
but due to their restricted number reservations must be made well in
advance.
LIMITED LIABILITY
Endeavor Lines will make
every possible effort to adhere to the timetables, tariffs and
conditions printed in the official brochure. However, in the event of
an increase in fuel prices or any other unforeseen circumstance, the
company reserves the right to change the tariffs and timetables or
replace a vessel without prior notice. In the unlikely event that
contractual obligations are not be fulfilled, as a result of the
company's proven fault, the company will make effort to transfer those
passengers and their vehicles to vessel(s) of other companies,
otherwise the ticket(s) will be refunded in full, the company accepting
no further liability towards the passenger for any damage(s) resulting
thereof.
Any dispute is to be presented before the courts of Piraeus (Greece).
